Before beginning, please read all instructions thoroughly. Allow between 5 to 15 minutes to complete the installation of the Wolfbox G900 Mirror Mounting Kit designed specifically for the Grenadier (2024+).
Note that these instructions focus solely on the assembly of the 67 Designs components, excluding wiring details provided by Wolfbox.
Step 1: Attach the Mounting Plate to the Wolfbox G900
- Start by removing any brackets currently attached to your Wolfbox and the 2mm fasteners. Set these fasteners aside.
- Position the Mirror Plate against the mirror to check its fit, making sure the 3M adhesive liner is still attached. This is to ensure proper alignment of the holes. Briefly insert the 2mm fasteners to test the fit, then remove them.
- It's crucial to use the 3M adhesive on the Mirror Adapter for a secure attachment, not just the fasteners.
- After confirming the alignment, peel off the 3M adhesive from the Mirror Adapter, align it precisely, and firmly press it onto the mirror's clean, dry back surface.
- Finally, insert and tighten the 2mm fasteners through the Mirror Adapter into the mirror.
Step 2: Remove the OEM Mirror
- Please note that 67 Designs cannot provide guidance for removing the OEM mirror. Consult your INEOS dealer for assistance. The process requires caution to avoid damaging the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- After removal, ensure the ADAS post with the integrated ball is left exposed.
Step 3: Install the Mirror Adapter
- The Mirror Adapter is designed to fit over the OEM ADAS post without any modifications, preserving the system's calibration.
- Align the two halves of the Mirror Adapter around the post, maintaining a 2mm gap. Use painter's tape or an elastic band to hold them in place temporarily.
- Using the provided wrench, carefully install the nylox nut and 4mm socket fastener, ensuring the Mirror Adapter can rotate freely around the post. For left-hand drive vehicles, position the metal 20mm ball towards the passenger side at about the 4 o'clock position.
Step 4: Attach the Wolfbox G900 Mirror
- Prepare by loosening the Nylon Thumb Knob on the Mirror Plate. Carefully align the clamps with the 20mm ball, ensuring they don't open too wide or drop the mirror.
- Once the clamps are around the ball, tighten the Nylon Thumb Knob to secure the mirror in a preliminary position.
Step 5: Adjust and Secure the Mirror Adapter
- Adjust the mirror to your preferred height, distance, and angle based on your seating position and visibility needs. Also check how the visors/shades swing down clear of the Wolfbox.
- Tighten the Mirror Adapter's fasteners to lock the desired position in place without over-tightening.
Step 6: Finalize the Mirror Assembly Position
- After adjusting the mirror to your satisfaction, re-tighten the Nylon Thumb Knob to ensure the assembly is secure.
Step 7: Final Steps
- Your installation is now complete. The Wolfbox G900, along with the 67 Designs Adapter Kit, enhances rear visibility without compromising the vehicle's ADAS system.
